Summary

Starts, Operates, and stops all line machinery that Blanches, Dries, Fries, and Freezes potato products. Keeps legible and accurate production reports. Conducts product tests to ensure quality and inputs selected data into Infinity database.

PR1 will also be required to break the control room

PR2 will be required to break the Batter Operator

SP1 will be required to operate the mixing deck

Essential Duties Include the following: 

 

Adjusts blancher temperature and water depth as needed.

 

Adjusts dryer temperature as needed.

 

Adjusts fryer temperature and oil depth as required to meet customer attributes.

 

Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.

 

Cleans all equipment on assigned fryer.

 

Completes required paperwork legible and on time.

 

Conducts daily and scheduled downtime sanitation.

 

Conducts product tests to determine color and solids content.

 

Fills blancher with water as needed.

 

Fills fryer with water or fat as applicable.

 

Inputs selected data into infinity database system.

 

Keeps production supervisors aware of all conditions effecting finished product.

 

Maintains a through understanding of all steps dealing with a fire in the fryer

 

On-site Requirement - Must perform duties onsite.

 

Performs ingredient testing and makes necessary changes as required.

 

Starts and stops equipment necessary line machinery.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Required to complete certification through the McCain Operator Training Program

Have or be able to obtain:

McCain Forklift Certification

Prime two only: Required to complete and pass allergy testing, Respirator fit testing, and medical examination.   

 

Computer Skills                                                  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Infinity Database software.

 

Education                                   

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

 

 

Experience                  

Minimum three months related experience and/or training.

 

Language Skills                                                 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills
