EC Teacher

Job Description: Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This position is based in a vibrant school in Elizabethtown, NC, catering to a diverse population of K-8 students.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. • Adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects to students with mild to moderate disabilities. • Collaborate with other educators, school staff, and parents to support student learning and development. • Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining detailed records. • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth. • Utilize various teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of students with different learning abilities.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field. • A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience. • EC teaching experience is preferred. • Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by students with special needs. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff.
