Description:- Performs ECG’s in a variety of locations throughout the hospital. - Performs Holter Monitor Scanning. - Performs Cardiac Stress Testing with both pharmacological and exercise stress. - Edits and types ECG reports and provides copying and filing services for department. - Ability to perform on call function as needed. - Transports patients via wheelchair or cart. - Maintains ECG and office supply inventory - Accurately resolves ECG and office equipment problems without supervision. - Completes patient registration and MUSE database management, system set-up and trouble shooting including: - Selecting the correct Corporate Patient Index (C.P.I.) number - Pre-cert requirements for all types of registrations…i.e.: inpatients, ER, observations, and outpatients - Knowledge of coordination of benefits, liability information, and areas of third party payors, insurance and regulatory requirements - Maintain knowledge of confidentiality laws and third party liability laws - Verify all insurances through appropriate resources as needed (EG: calling, audio, Blue Cross, FSS)
