Description:- Maintains and is proficient with all cardiac ultrasound equipment and procedures performed at MercyOne. - Instructs and educates patients regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedure. - Performs cardiac sonography procedures using sterile technique in the OR setting. - Uses the hospital and department information systems to complete patient testing records and billing procedures. - Transports and manipulates patients as necessary to complete echocardiography studies. - Monitors patient status during testing. - Injects ultrasound contrast media when indicated. - Maintains department records. - Covers on-call shifts as scheduled including nights, weekends and holidays. - Attends required meetings and participates on committees as requested.
