Responsibilities

Franciscan Medical Group is currently seeking a PER DIEM Echo Technologist for our Franciscan Heart and Vascular Clinic in Auburn, WA. Exciting opportunity to support our growing King County Cardiology team. Clinic is accessible to major highway and close to amenities. No weekends or organizationally recognized holidays required.

Job Summary:

This job is responsible for performing sonographic examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.  An incumbent performs a variety of technical procedures that relate to cardiac ultrasounds that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative for sonographic diagnosis.

Essential Duties:

Responsible for those technical procedures requiring a sound understanding of anatomical positioning, physiology, and cross sectional anatomy so that individual selection and modification of technical factors will produce optimal results.Maintains expert knowledge in sonography examinations at a technical level.  Maintains general knowledge with the sonography equipment.Responsible for proper scheduling, reporting, and filing of all sonography examinations.Prepares patients for sonography procedures.Processes and labels all exams.Attends class seminars on new developments in technical improvements in sonography. Presents in-services to other departmental employees on procedures, as directed.
Qualifications

Education/ Work Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required.Graduation from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program.  One year of post-graduate experience in cardiac ultrasound and/or demonstrated high degree of proficiency, knowledge, and acuity in the field of diagnostics or ultrasound is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

Current registration by ARDMS.Current healthcare provider BLS Certification
