Echo/Vascular Coordinator 

Full-Time I First Shift 

Cardiovascular Lab I Lexington, KY

The Noninvasive Lab is a specialized department within a healthcare facility dedicated to performing diagnostic tests and procedures that do not require breaking the skin or entering the body. This unit plays a crucial role in assessing and diagnosing a variety of medical conditions, particularly those related to cardiovascular, pulmonary, and vascular systems.

Description for Echo/Vascular Coordinator:

Cardiovascular Lab Coordinator will assure appropriate patient care management and adjust daily operation to meet the needs of a changing working environment in the Cardiovascular Lab of Non-Invasive Cardiology.Echocardiography, Vascular Ultrasound and Transport. Coordinator will be responsible for both Inpatient and Outpatient clinical workflows at the Main Hospital and designated Outpatient Clinics. Directs and develops staff; collaborates with physicians, offices, and multidisciplinary professional staffs. This position has twenty-four-hour accountability and is responsible for the supervision and management of the daily activities in the Cardiovascular Lab. Coordinator will assist the Director to ensure that the departments supervised meet and/or exceed state and federal regulatory guidelines. This includes but is not limited to policies, protocols, and technical workflows. They will possess a strong expertise in the clinical application of Echo and/or Vascular Ultrasound and/or within scope of board certifications. They will serve as a technical resource for other staff and will oversee the training of new staff when necessary. Provides health care services and departmental efficiency in the Non-Invasive Cardiovascular department using sonography to assist diagnosis or treatment.As necessary, will perform Echo and/or Vascular related procedures within scope of board certifications, computer processing and related techniques, and producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of duties and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics and a supportive work environment. Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure. 
 

Requirements for Echo/Vascular Coordinator:

Bachelor’s Degree.Five years of experience; working knowledge on areas to be Echo/Vascular.Two years of leadership experience as a Lead Technologist or Supervisor/Coordinator preferred.Certified through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing CCI or an Associate’s degree of an Ultrasound ProgramPatient Care or Leadership experience preferred.Life Support Training or Certification (ACLS, BLS, PALS, etc.)
