Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an opportunity for an Echocardiograph Technician at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan, located on First Avenue & 97th Street in Manhattan, accommodate over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. Informs patient briefly of procedure. Performs echocardiograms in accordance with current practice and ASE guidelines. Perform stress-echocardiograms in accordance with current practice and ASE guidelines. Assist in performance of Transesophageal echos in accordance with current practice and ASE guidelines. Adapts to changes in workload or procedures as necessary. Maintain equipment and stocking supplies as well as informing your supervisor of any technical concern. Maintain examination area for patients’ testing area in accordance with current practice and ASE guidelines. Maintain written daily procedure log, enters initial patient information into the computer system and computerization of echo data. Participate in Divisional and in-service meeting. Inform cardiologist of any concerns that is felt to be urgent or emergent. Liaison with Laboratory Supervisor to adjust schedules to accommodate stat orders, new admissions, etc. to prioritize test to achieve maximum efficiency. Performs other related and appropriate duties as indicated or assigned. Promotes a positive and pleasant attitude conductive to the workplace. Meets all compliance standards/requirements such as annual physical evaluation/assessment; Five Star Training; Right-To-Know-Training; Fire Drill Participation, etc. Participates In Performance Improvement Activities. Is responsible for enhancing your personal and professional development through attendance at outside and Generations Plus training sessions. Is responsible for wearing professional attire to the workplace as well as during off-site work, when conducting business on behalf of Generations Plus. Must exhibit flexibility within Generations Plus, as It pertains to work assignment, workplace, site designation and Tour of Duty.
