Echocardiographic Technologist

GiaCare Inc. is currently accepting applications for experienced, civilian Echocardiographic Technologists to work alongside the federal government at Eglin Air Force Base (Florida).
Qualifications
Degree/Education: Shall have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program or a comparably recognized advanced program through one of the branches of the United States Armed Forces.Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. Shall have their Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer credential (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential through either the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).Experience
12 months of experience in the specialty clinical service area within the last 36 months.Echocardiograms, Stress Echocardiograms, Arterial Dopplers – including ABI and Abdominal Aortic Duplex, place an IV.Board Certification
Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as an Echocardiographic Technologist.Duties
Screens and checks in patients and escorts patients to treatment areas.Set up lab for procedures, prepare patients for procedures, perform Cardiac procedures/testing, obtain vital signs, and manage patient charts, manage provider/clinic schedules, and scheduling as well as uploading procedure reports.Complete exams in an efficient and timely mannerEffectively use clinical judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each cardiovascular examination performed.Providing Comprehensive Reports to the Physician.Accurately prepares room & patient for examinations, therapeutic measures and procedures assuring all needed equipment and supplies are available prior to the start of the exam.Takes, monitors and records physiological measurements.Performs medical treatment, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per extender treatment protocols.Prepares and administers medications under the supervision of a nurse or health care provider.Assembles, maintains, and operates medical, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
