**Come work at a place where innovation and teamwork come together to support the most exciting missions in the world!** **Job Title:** ECMO Coordinator **Cost Center:** 301351200 MfdHos-Nursing Administration **Scheduled Weekly Hours:** 40 **Employee Type:** Regular **Work Shift:** Variable (United States of America) **Job Description:** **JOB SUMMARY** The Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygen (ECMO) Coordinator/ Hemodynamic Support Program will be responsible for training and orienting, developing competencies and mentoring the ECMO Specialists in performing ECMO at the bedside. This individual will assist with development of policies, procedures, guidelines, delegation protocols, and implementation of protocols. The ECMO Coordinator/ Hemodynamic Support Program will collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate order sets. This individual will be responsible for data collection and accurate record keeping. The ECMO Coordinator/ Hemodynamic Support Program ensures the ECMO program is compliant with Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) guidelines and recommendations. This individual Hemodynamic support Program Manager will have oversight of Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Impella and Balloon pump services. Oversight includes 24/7 accountability for all components to the hemodynamic support program. **JOB QUALIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION** _For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._ **Minimum Required:** Graduate of an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy or Nursing. **Preferred/Optional:** Bachelor’s Degree preferred in health sciences. ECMO Specialist training from a hospital based training program at an ECMO center. **EXPERIENCE** **Minimum Required:** Three years’ experience as a critical care Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT). Demonstrated ability for complex clinical decision-making. Demonstrated ability to teach effectively. Excellent organizational skills. **Preferred/Optional:** Three years’ experience as an ECMO Specialist. **CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES** _The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position._ **Minimum Required:** + Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) or RN in the State of Wisconsin.
