Job Title: Ecologist Job Description We are seeking a mid-level Ecologist with 3-5 years of experience to join the Environmental Department in Winter Park, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and other local, state, and federal agencies. Responsibilities + Conduct site visits, field surveys, and data analysis for environmental planning projects. + Understand and implement Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements. + Prepare reports, permits, and regulatory documentation. + Develop client relationships and support project proposals. + Lead safety efforts and ensure compliance with safety guidelines. Essential Skills + Ecology + Environmental Science + Biology + Wetland Ecology + Permitting + PRP + Restoration + Species Surveying + Project Management + GIS + Microsoft Office + Regulatory Compliance Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's or master's degree in relevant fields (Botany, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, etc.). + At least 7 years of experience in wetland science, biology, and environmental regulations. + Proficiency in GIS and Microsoft Office. + Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history. Work Environment The role involves both field and office work. Consultants may not need to go to the office when working in the field the field and can possibly start or finish their day remotely.
