eCommerce Assistant (9-month FTC)

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic E-Commerce Assistant to join our Digital Planning team, which plays a crucial part in our wider Brand division here at Penguin. As a key player in managing our iconic Penguin Shop, you'll support our E-Commerce Manager and collaborate with the wider team to ensure the seamless operation of our online store.

Please note this is a part-time 9-month fixed-term contract, working 2-days p/week.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Manage customer communication over email, replying to enquiries and solving problems, ensuring every interaction leaves a positive impression.

Assist with customer orders, including processing replacements and returns, making sure our customers are always satisfied.

Liaise with our fulfilment partner on dispatch and delivery of orders, ensuring a timely and efficient service.

Coordinate changes to products and inventory in Shopify and our fulfilment portal, keeping our online store fresh and up-to-date.

Process invoices with precision and attention to detail, maintaining smooth financial operations.

When required, support the E-Commerce Manager with reporting and strategic projects related to the online store, contributing to the growth and success of Penguin Shop.

Bring your customer service experience to the table, providing exceptional support and creating positive experiences for our customers.

Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in every task you undertake.

Communicate effectively, both within the team and with our customers, to ensure clear and efficient information exchange.

Stay organised and able to prioritise, track, and deliver multiple tasks, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on schedule.

 

Preferred criteria:

 

Be a creative thinker who is unafraid to tackle challenges or new tasks, always looking for innovative solutions and improvements.

Work independently with confidence, taking initiative and managing your responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Salary: £27,500 plus benefits.

 Hybrid working

 

While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important.
