eCommerce Business Analyst

Job Description:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Business Analyst to bridge the gap between our commercial, operational, and IT teams while managing and improving the content of our eCommerce platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of business processes, and hands-on experience in managing web content. This position will focus on optimizing the user experience, ensuring technical requirements align with business goals, and maintaining high-quality content on our eCommerce platform.

The role combines responsibilities of a Business Analyst and an eCommerce Content Coordinator, focusing on supporting technical solutions and content management for Genie’s eCommerce platform. The Business Analyst portion involves analyzing business operations, translating requirements into IT specifications, and providing day-to-day application support. The Content Coordinator aspect includes managing website content, enriching product data, and ensuring site layout and content adhere to best practices.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze requirements, translating them into functional IT specifications.Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure business needs are met and support the daily operations of business applications.Execute content management for the eCommerce platform, ensuring product data, descriptions, and multimedia are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with branding guidelines.Regularly audit the website to ensure content, layout, and accessibility standards are met, improving user experience.Facilitate platform enhancements, including testing and user acceptance, while coordinating with cross-functional teams.Keep all stakeholders informed of project updates, timelines, and any risks or challenges that may arise.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field) or 4+ years of relevant experience.Advanced English skillsTechnical experience (oracle CX preferred, HTML/CSS), business analysis and project management (PMP or Scrum certs are a plus), content managementExcellent communication and relationship skills.Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.Proficiency in HTML/CSS.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated analytical and basic project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.Demonstrated ability to review, consolidate and communicate with all levels within IS/IT and the user community.Hands-on experience with eCommerce (Oracle CX preferred) application and implementation.Experience working with platform integrations including CRM, ERP, PIM, DAM, etc.Project management skills. PMP or Scrum certification welcome.Strong data analytical skills. (Advanced Excel, SQL)Problem solving & delivering results.Ability to work well with people from many different cultures and disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience over geographically dispersed locations.
