About the role:
The position of eCommerce Content Manager will drive the cross-platform strategy and development of creative in support of eCommerce marketing & media campaigns. These campaigns include programs and test & learn opportunities that specifically focus on converting shoppers to purchase Diageo spirits brands online, on both B2C and B2B platforms. Key customers include third party marketplace platforms such as ReserveBar, Instacart, and UberEats, omnichannel retailers such as Walmart and Kroger, and B2B platforms such as SGProof and Provi.
The eCommerce Content Manager will collaborate especially closely with the eCommerce Strategy & Partnerships and B2B teams to develop a creative approach that aligns to customer goals, objectives, and activation plans.
Types of eMarketing campaigns include but are not limited to integrated programming in partnership with brands, ground-up eComm specific activations in support of our portfolio, and omnichannel programs in partnership with Shopper Marketing. Therefore, this role is highly cross-functional and core to delivering on our sales & share goals across the eComm channel.
In this role, a successful candidate will provide counsel and expertise on creative best practices and inform the ways in which Diageo evolves our approach to eMarketing content to internal partners in the North America market as well as Global teams. Additionally, they will take a leadership position in running agency partners, including handling any future SOW’s and RFP’s as well as ensuring day-to-day creative strategy and deliverables are met.
Financial:
Holistic management of eComm team’s non-working budget, resolving agency budget, scope, and output meets both eMarketing as well as Digital Shelf content needs
Complexity:
Ability to collaborate cross functionally across Marketing & Commercial partners
Management of creative agencies & occasionally customer relationships
Develop POV on retailer, marketplace, and B2B creative solutions in service of driving sales. Collaborate with partners (external & internal) to develop recommendations inclusive of Key Performance Indicators & measurement strategies
Determine which occasions, brand, and shopper programming will drive the most scale across retailer & marketplace platforms
Deploy creative best practices and establish guidelines for commerce-driven content
Role Responsibilities: :
Balance customer, brand, and shopper priorities; determining when to develop new eComm specific creative, how much to customize by customer, and how much to templatize (ID efficiencies)
Proactively convey to eCommerce leadership the ways in which approach to content should evolve
Stay current on trends and apply proactive approach to strategy
Understand and articulate industry & customer best practices, usage of assets across customers, content effectiveness, and investment needs

College graduate with 5-10 years of experience that includes:
Experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or shopper marketing
Knowledge of digital content management and eCommerce merchandising best practices
CPG or agency experience
Demonstrates analytical acumen (translate Key Performance Indicators into insights )
Ability to lead multiple projects and deadlines while communicating priorities with relevant partners
