Ecommerce Fulfillment Lead
This position is responsible for packaging all online orders. This includes corporate gifts, Cheese Club Shipments, mini-wholesale, and general online orders. This position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Level I Responsibilities: + Make and insulate boxes + Prepare all boxes for daily shipments by adding gel packs + Package boxes with contents as indicated on the provided invoice + Seal boxes with marketing content and apply the appropriate shipping label + Sort completed boxes into the appropriate carrier category (FedEx, UPS, Pickup) + Maintain a clean and organized Ecommerce fulfillment area in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices + Dispose of cardboard and trash at the end of each shift + Cycle gel packs from pallet to freezers + Communicate any low inventory items to the Ecommerce Supervisor Level II Responsibilities: + Perform all Level I responsibilities + Fill all cheese carts at the beginning of each shift + Generate shipping labels for all orders + Assist the Ecommerce Supervisor in determining weights and shipping boxes for any new gifts Level III Responsibilities (Lead Position): + Perform all Level I and II responsibilities. + Conduct month-end inventory count for all Ecommerce supplies + Coordinate the packaging team to fulfill all orders + Lead the Cheese Club packaging team each quarter + Transfer inventory to Ecommerce from Warehouse stock + Submit Purchase Requisitions to purchasing department upon approval by Supervisor + Submit cheese cut request to production upon approval by Supervisor Supervisory Responsibility This position would lead any temporary workers in the department. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a warehouse and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Exposure to cold climate continuously; Exposure to chemical occasionally; Exposure to noise and vibration continuously. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties on the job, the physical demands are: Stand – continuously; Stoop/Bend – continuously; Squat – frequently; Climb Stairs or ladders, occasionally; Reach – chest level, above or below – continuously; Push - 100 lbs. frequently (with a cart or pallet jack); Pull - 100 lbs. frequently (with a cart or pallet jack); Lift/carry- 55-65 lbs. frequently. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours vary depending on the shift and department. Overtime and weekend work is required at times. Vacation coverage as needed. Travel None is required for this position. Required Education and Experience 1. High school diploma or equivalent and 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; 2. Working knowledge of MS Excel and SAP; 3. Current Food Handlers Certificate (had up to 30 days to obtain). 4. Forklift Certification; Preferred Education and Experience 1. Experience working in a food manufacturing environment; 2. Basic mathematics and calculating tools; 3. Capable of operating without direct supervision; 4. Capable of following instructions.
