Ecommerce Operations Specialist
Overview The Ecommerce Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day ecommerce curbside pickup operations as well as the primary point-of-contact for stores for rollouts, questions, and issues with external delivery partners. This individual is the “go-to” person within the store network with a deep understanding of how to shop, checkout, stage, and deliver online orders to customers curbside. They are responsible for communicating to District Directors and Store Managers Ecommerce KPIs and coach the store teams to achieve performance goals. The Specialist will aide in training all shoppers in districts and work in tandem with District Directors and Store Managers on maintaining appropriate head count and shopper availability to maximize ecommerce sales with appropriate schedule coverage. The Ecommerce Operations Specialist will report directly to the Ecommerce Operations Manager. Overview of Responsibilities Customer Experience Sends daily / weekly out-of-stock and performance reports to eCommerce team, Store Operations, and Stores ; partners with store operations to share best practices to improve performance Reviews live issue reporting and communicates to stores immediate opportunities and risks Monitors store staffing to ensure coverage and coaches store teams on ways to improve their scheduling Coaches store teams on excellent customer service practices to build repeat curbside business Growth Executes plans to support business needs to drive sales, performance, and efficiency In partnership with the Ecommerce Operations Manager, continuously explores ways to drive process improvement Supports pilot projects to develop business cases for future programming Support Supports ecommerce operations at all stores within given region(s) Subject matter expert on ecommerce procedures, standards, and policies Visits stores to monitor program standards, coach / train store teams and gather feedback from the field. Travels up to 50% of the time. Assists with the communication and rollout of all new programs, operational changes, and promotions Conduct meetings, conference calls and training sessions on a regular basis with stores Supports the Educate and Enrich training for store personnel that operate the ecommerce program: In-Store Shoppers, Front End Managers, Cashiers, Store Managers / ASMs. Responsible for launching the Sprouts’ ecommerce service in new Sprouts locations. Attends meetings with third-party providers to review day-to-day operations and upcoming features. First point of contact for stores regarding eCommerce question. Will monitor eCommerce email and respond to store questions and inquiries. Escalate issues to Ecommerce Operations Manager when necessary Reports catalog issues to Ecommerce Merchandising Manager as needed Supports delivery services as needed. Other related duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred, with minimum three (3) years of grocery operations experience Relevant experience as a shopper (in-store or delivery service) preferred Training experience preferred Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for the customer experience Strong communication and presentation skills Above average writing, analytical, problem assessment, and problem‐solving skills Ability to read and interpret metrics reporting with solid skills with Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI). Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook Ability to operate front end equipment, register, calculator, scanner, etc. Ability to work well alone and as part of the team Must be willing to work weekends and some evenings Able to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 lbs. requiring a force up to 35 lbs., up to 2 hours, a distance up to 20 feet.
