eCommerce Specialist

 Supports the Director of eCommerce in establishing and executing the portfolio digital strategies. Works closely with Corporate Marketing, eCommerce, Sales, and Revenue Management teams and liaises with additional internal departments throughout the organization, partners, and agencies as needed. Partners closely with the marketing team, agency partners, and vendors to stay informed on the newest trends and technological advancements.

This position requires in-office work at least two days per week at the start.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000.

High School diploma or equivalentAssociate Degree (AA) from 2 year college and/or two to three years of related experience or trainingDigital marketing training and website optimization skills desired          Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong computer skills including excellent knowledge of Word and Excel software programsProficiency in the following systems: WordPress or similar programs, Google AnalyticsWorking knowledge and background with CMS platforms, digital asset management systems, and digital advertisingUnderstanding of paid digital hotel strategy, website content management and search engine optimization.Knowledge of market trends, competition, and key customers of the hotel

 What you’ll do 

Provide support with eCommerce experience on websites, mobile app, and microsites in conjunction with both in-house team and external agency partners.Hotel & Outlet Websites: Assist with new website development, ongoing content updates, SEO, content reviews and maintenance. Identifying ongoing website content and photography updates to keep content relevant and up to date.Leverage Brand ecommerce programs at the property and market level while ensuring efforts are integrated with the selling efforts to generate profitable revenue to increase RevPAR, market share and brand awareness for Mainsail properties.Align with external partners and Brand teams for pull-through of relevant national marketing programs, channels, platforms, offers and initiatives.Responsible for on-going local search efforts to identify websites and travel booking sites promoting the hotel, (including travel distribution channels and travel endorsement sites) and ensure that positioning on any internet site meets property objectives for copy, photos, etc. Inclusive of third-party listing and distribution to all relevant Local Search Engines including RioSEO, Google, Apple Maps, TripAdvisor, Expedia and Booking.comPaid Media: Assist with digital marketing agency communications to ensure relevant merchandising across paid media campaigns across multiple vendors.Email Communications: Administers email campaigns through third-party vendor and Brand systems utilizing first-party data.Partner with hotel and above property support teams to drive marketing strategies.Other duties as reasonably assigned.
