JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

 

Working under the direct supervision of the Director of Economic Development, the Economic Development Financial Analyst will support initiatives aimed at enhancing the economic viability of the Tribe through strategic planning, project execution, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following fields: financial analysis, project management, asset management, market research, property management, or land negotiations.

 

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Analyze the financial feasibility and perform extensive financial modeling of economic development opportunities including, but not limited to, land leases with real estate development partners, acquisition of stabilized and value-add real estate assets, ground-up development, and other alternative investments that align with the Tribe’s strategic initiatives. Assist in the preparation of written reports and slide decks providing background on a specific economic development opportunity, a summary of the analysis performed, and a recommendation, to be presented to senior staff, Tribal Council, and Tribal Members. Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of approved economic development projects ensuring qualitative and quantitative objectives are achieved. Assist the Senior Tribal Real Estate Manager with (i) land purchase and sale negotiations with developers and/or homebuilders, ensuring favorable terms for the Tribe and (ii) management of Tribal income-producing properties including, but not limited to, property management and administration of leases between the Tribe and tenants, homeowners, and real estate developers/homebuilders. Manage consultant contracts including determining scope of work, developing budget, and establishing a timeline for delivery of goods and/or services.
