GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Develop and manage the Economic Development Pillar aligned to the Strategic Plan and BGCPR’s Logic Model. Design of programmatic content based on the analysis of PESTELE, Voice of the Client, as well as current and future trends. Collaborate in grant development aligned to programs designed. Plans and manages training programs, including practical training in the areas of entrepreneurship, employability, and/or career skills for children, youth, and adults. Identify and coordinate opportunities, internship programs, and/or pre-employment and/or employment experiences for youth and adults.
TASKS AND ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Identify and evaluate the economic and employment needs of youth, young adults, and families.
+ Design of programmatic content (playbooks) based on the analysis of PESTELE, Voice of the Client, as well as current and future trends aligned to the Strategic Plan and BGCPR’s Logic Model of the Economic Development Pillar.
+ Review curriculums and implementation phases.
+ Visit Clubs to measure and guarantee the quality of implementation.
+ Design evaluation processes of program impact on the participants and evaluate the programs using different measurement methods to ensure quality.
+ Create reports, presentations, and stewardship/compliance reports for stakeholders.
+ Make strategic alliances with different government agencies, and private, educational, or private companies to strengthen the Economic Development Pillar.
+ Ensure contractual compliance with the various sources of the organization, including the management of records, participation, and membership agreements, documentation of participants, folders, or other information required by agencies or stakeholders.
+ Collaborate in grant development process aligned to programs designed for the Economic Development Pillar.
+ Manage consultants and external evaluators for the program design and evaluations, guaranteeing compliance with contracts and strategic outcomes.
+ Develop an annual work plan for the Economic Development Pillar.
+ Plan and coordinate training programs for participants, including practical training in the areas of entrepreneurship, employability, and/or career competencies for children and youth.
+ Identify and coordinate internship programs and/or pre-employment and/or employment experiences for youth and adults.
+ Assure enrollment and retention of program participants, carry out program promotion and marketing processes for participants, community, and external allies, including, but not limited to calls, marketing plan, analysis, and strategies of retention.
+ Supervise Grant Coordinators and/or Regional Coordinators, as other assigned staff (administrative).
+ Collaborate with Market Research Analyst in the management of Pillar’s outcomes and participant’s profile databases.
+ Perform any other task requested by the supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority and skill of personnel.
+ Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
+ Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
+ Identify the developmental needs of others, developing formal educational or training initiatives, such as coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
+ Confer with personnel, to coordinate work activities, resolve employee grievances, or identify and review resources needed.
+ Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules
+ Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, Economy, Human Resources or related area.
+ At least two (2) or more years of related experience.
+ Education and Training — Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
+ English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
+ Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
+ Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships — Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
+ Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

+ Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work — Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.

+ Provide Consultation and Advice to Others — Providing guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems-, or process-related topics.

+ Documenting/Recording Information — Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
+ Normal internal office environment with some travel to Club locations across Puerto Rico. Availability to engage funders on evenings and weekends is a core part of this position. Frequent internal contact with employees throughout the organization is required. May reach above shoulder height or below the waist and lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday must be able to lift 15 pounds and use proper lifting techniques.
