Overview Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in emerging energy technology, renewable energy, oil - gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. TRC is seeking an Economist to join our professional team supporting our clients’ growing needs for economic impact analyses, socioeconomic evaluations, planning, and documentation. The position will serve as an Assistant Project Manager and would be part of team that works closely with our Technical Director and with Senior Project Managers from other teams. Our team provides support for evaluating, planning, siting, and permitting challenging projects, primarily for industrial, utility, renewable energy, oil & gas, and public sector clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and personable individual with an eye for detail and organization, a willingness to learn, and a desire to be part of a growing and high-performing team. Responsibilities Prepare technical correspondence, reports, work plans, and project specifications Develop proposals and cost estimates resulting in the award of new work with clients Manage tasks and provide technical leadership to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality Work directly with clients, as necessary, to build and maintain client relationships. Perform economic impact analyses using IMPLAN Build and strengthen team and staff through engagement and mentorship Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Economics, or Finance; Master’s degree preferred 8+ years of experience in consulting Experience with IMPLAN National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) experience preferred Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform across multiple work assignments Excellent verbal communication and technical communication skills are mandatory Ability to work independently or on a team and cross-collaboratively with other teams Exceptional interpersonal skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills allowing for positive internal and client relationships #LI-SE1 Benefits*: TRC offers a competitive benefit package consisting of: Medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance. 401k package that includes both traditional and Roth IRA options and Company match Paid time off contingent upon full time or part time status and level of seniority (ranging from 15 to 25 days per year. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
