ED Nurse RN - Relief PRN

Overview The purpose of the Relief RN is to provide support to the Emergency Department by picking up shifts or hours during a shift. This Relief RN can provide lunch reliefs, take full patient assignments, oversee Fellowes during orientation, precept new hires, teach new skills, as well as but not limited to aiding throughput during high volume periods. Qualifications Required Education: Associate�s degree. Specific course work: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. New hires must have a BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position. Current employees who were hired or transferred into the position prior to August 1, 2013 will be grandfathered. Preferred Education: BSN Required Licensure/Certifications: �Current licensure as RN in Florida or valid licensure in one of the states under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). If licensed under the eNLC, must obtain FL RN licensure within 90 days of becoming a Florida resident. �BLS from the American Heart Association �ACLS from the American Heart Association �PALS and NRP certifications are required within six (6) months of hire or transfer. Preferred Licensure/Certifications: CEN or TNCC preferred Required Experience: 3-5 years RN experience in an Emergency Department and/or ICU Preferred Experience: At least three (3) years of RN experience in a high volume and fast paced emergency department. Necessary Skills: 1. Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team. 2. Demonstrates the ability to learn and apply computer technologies and procedures that affect patient care delivery. Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups
