Job Summary
Reports to Nursing Director of Emergency Department
Reports Indirectly to VP of Emergency Department
Facilitate accurate revenue capture through
Ongoing charge review & correction
Charge change requests by billing
ED record review for policy compliance with specified populations including, but not limited to, moderate sedation, sepsis, and restrained patient populations. Other populations may be assigned as needed.
Translates rough data into meaningful outcomes for staff & providers
Develops need-specific education for staff
Perform chart reviews as requested by other departments
Maintain ongoing and accurate Department statistics for quality reporting
Population specific metrics
Patient flow metrics
Collaborate effectively with Clinical Coordinator to identify staff education needs and develop & execute education as needed.
Supports unit education and/or certification initiatives. Acts as a staff resource in areas of above listed functions.
Other duties not listed as determined by Emergency Department Nursing Director
Functions as a staff nurse as required, must maintain TNCC, ALS, & PALS certification.
