POSITION SUMMARY: The ED Technician performs clerical and other departmental associated duties essential to the delivery of quality patient care; under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse assists with direct or indirect basic patient care as necessary; performs other duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse, Manager Patient Care or Administrative Supervisor. STATEMENT OF POSTING: Should there be no fully qualified candidates, this position will be considered full training (waiving previous work experience). CPR due within 90 days of hire. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma/GED Experience: 1 year previous Direct Patient Care in a healthcare setting. Licensure/Certification: Current certification by the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS. Other Skills/Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
