Responsibilities: 
As a EEDP Software intern, you will receive a summer project that pertains to different parts of the business at GE HealthCare. Assignments may include:  

Designing, testing and/or debugging functions and features of GE Healthcare products  

Designing, testing and/or debugging functions and features of development/test tools 

Data analytics 

Documentation 

 
Qualifications: 

Current undergraduate student continuing in an accredited degree program after summer 2025; limited to individuals continuing to pursue an undergraduate or master’s degree after the summer of 2025; 

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering (with a focus on software) or equivalent degree;  

Required Skillset: Java, C++, and/or Python; 

Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms;   

Demonstrated analytical ability and technical competency in Computer Engineering or Computer Science areas;   

Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and in teams;  

Proven leadership skills and/or experience;  

Able to work for a minimum of 10 weeks;  

Willing to relocate to greater Milwaukee, WI area (limited remote opportunities may be available); relocation assistance and housing stipend available 

 
Desired Characteristics: 

A prior internship or co-op with software and/or firmware design experience;   

Overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale);  

Proficiency in software languages such as JavaScript, Perl, Shell scripting, C, and/or Matlab; 

Experience with object-oriented design methodology, and/or algorithm development; 

Experience with agile principles and methodologies;  

Experience with Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and/or Artificial Intelligence technologies;  

Passion for a career in healthcare technology
