This position is a critical member of the architecture team within Edison Works and will work on highly complex projects that require in-depth domain knowledge in cloud cyber security architecture, technology, tools, and strategy. This role will partner with key stakeholders to drive the strategy for, and roadmap of, the advancement and growth of the cloud-based technical security tools, while also driving continuous improvement across the numerous classified programs within our organization. You will develop relationships with suppliers, partners, and customers to formulate and execute a complete strategy to improve our technology security posture.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Conduct cloud security planning to determine and describe security necessitiesMaintain knowledge of diverse cloud platformsConduct infrastructure security planning, including firewalls, AppSec, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and scanners for detecting vulnerabilityDevelop security criteria, procedures, and policies tailored to meet JSIG and RMF regulationsEstablish and manage data access controls and provide identity, authentication, and access management design and oversight (IAM)Integrate cloud-aware authentication mechanismsPerform application vulnerability assessments and evaluationsProvide guidance and oversight for the correction of discovered vulnerabilitiesProvide DevOps with security oversight and design guidance and oversee DevSecOps initiativesPerform security operations (SecOps) responsibilitiesManage the deployment of SIEM software and automated security alertsProvide guidance on systems hardening for cyber resilienceEvaluate new security solutions and productsExplore new threats, attack methods, and techniquesUtilize security orchestration and response automation (SOAR)

Required Qualifications

For roles in USA – Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).Able to obtain and maintain active US DOD \"Secret\" Security Clearance ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens.Experience architecting Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and/or Oracle Cloud solutionsExperience evaluating, designing, implementing, optimizing, and documenting a comprehensive and extensive array of security technologies and processesExperience performing threat modeling and design reviews to evaluate the introduction of new technologies’ security implications and requirements

Technical Expertise:
