Editorial Content Manager
OVERVIEW Assist the Senior Manager of Internal Communications with the creation and implementation of the enterprise-wide internal communications strategic plan to ensure effectiveness and message alignment with our Sheetz mission, vision, brand, culture, strategy and other relevant objectives. Develops and executes internal communications plans ensuring they are relevant, timely and targeted, consistently delivered across the organization. Manages the day-to-day communication stream across the organization to inform and engage employees. RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned) 1. Assists the Senior Manager of Internal Communications with the creation and implementation of the internal communications strategic plan. 2. Executes internal communications plans aligned with the company’s strategy, brand, culture and other key objectives ensuring they are relevant, timely and targeted, consistently delivered across the organization. a. Collaborates and works cross-functionally in close partnership with HR, Store Operations, Brand, SDS and other key stakeholders to create and execute communication plans from concept to delivery. 3. Manage the Editorial Calendar and coordinate with IC Leadership to ensure content is produced and in place in accordance with the IC strategic comms plan. 4. Responsible for all content produced and published in support of the IC editorial calendar across designated channels. 5. Manages the day-to-day communication stream to employees across the organization. a. Directs content creation and implementation across internal communication channels to Sheetz employees including memos, presentations, announcements, video content, scripting, blogs, meeting content, etc. b. Authors a variety of internal and executive communications delivered across communications channels as necessary. c. Manage content planning and production to support comms strategy and story arcs around business priorities 6. Responsible for advising and ensuring effective execution of crisis communications on appropriate internal communications channels including food safety, cyber security and other crisis situations. 7. Oversees, manages, develops and coaches direct reports to ensure effectiveness, goal attainment, collaboration, engagement and teamwork. Holds direct reports accountable to individual performance goals. QUALIFICATIONS (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered) Education • Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, public relations or related field required. Experience • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing editorial content across a variety of channels to reach a dispersed and diverse audience, and authoring content for widespread communications, including articles, memos, scripts, blogs, etc. required. • Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising direct reports required • Experience with execution of content strategy, writing and producing mixed-media messaging, print, video/graphic production preferred Licenses/Certifications • None required Tools & Equipment • General Office Equipment ACCOMMODATIONS Sheetz is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals.
