JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and creative Editorial Producer to join newly announced The Will Cain Show on FOX News Channel! We are seeking a natural leader, a proven go-getter, and someone who can rise to the occasion under the stressful demands of cable news. This Editorial Producer has excellent editorial judgment and breaking news experience and can put together a compelling and unique rundown.

You will be offered the following shift:

6:00 AM ET - 3:00 PM ET, Monday-Friday

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in editorial decisions for both day of and future programs

Play a key role in building the show's rundown with original content and best elements while maintaining impeccable editorial standards

Help oversee the execution and production of the show

Facilitate effective communication with the show host as needed

Manage and communicate with talent, producers, bookers, and the control room during breaking news

Ability to step in and line produce if needed plus be the catalyst behind the creativity that goes into any monologues and intros

Identify and recognize stories with high potential for compelling television

Participate in daily team meetings to develop show content

Mentor and develop show staff including Line Producers, Writers, Bookers, APs, and PAs

Approve and edit scripts, banners, and full screens as needed

React to breaking news, ensuring that the right content is getting on the air in the right order

Oversee research packets and facts for day of air

Work hands-on with the talent making sure they are receiving the necessary research and elements needed to ensure the best show daily

Participate in weekly ratings analysis - keeping track of guests/timing structures that maximize ratings output

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

5+ years of newsroom experience and producing/ line producing a television newscast

Excellent organizational and managerial skills as well as the ability to create an environment that fosters teamwork

Demonstrated experience working with on-air talent

Ability to exhibit decisive and skilled management of a control room

Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet multiple daily deadlines

Exceptional editorial and writing skills

Ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television

Proven track record of leadership and newscast ratings growth

Strong passion for and knowledge of current events, news, and politics

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $106,000.00-120,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $88,300.00-100,000.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
