Job Description
The eDrive PCB Layout and Validation Engineer will be responsible for designing PCB layouts for traction inverter applications and validating the designs through analysis, simulation, and physical testing.
ResponsibilitiesLead complex layout projects.Capture PCB design requirements through electrical circuit design reviews and mechanical design reviews.Design PCB layouts considering thermal management, signal routing, and mechanical constraints, optimizing for signal integrity, power integrity, and impedance control.Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams to support product development.Verify that the layout meets electrical and manufacturing specifications using automated design rules.Create and verify PCB footprints and schematic symbols.Maintain a library of all schematic symbols, footprints, and part types.Conduct signal integrity and power integrity analyses.Work closely with electrical engineers to address design concerns and incorporate feedback throughout the layout process.Create detailed layout documentation for manufacturing and assembly.Collaborate with testing engineers to test and verify the PCB layout through prototype builds and electrical validation processes.Requirements3+ years of PCB design and layout (Hands-on experience with PCB and electrical circuits)Experience managing cross-functional engineering work.Familiarity with EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools; Cadence Allegro is preferred, but Altium and Siemens are acceptable.Knowledge of automotive applications.Experience in electrified powertrain for high voltage exposure; candidates with low voltage experience will be considered.Understanding of electrical design, schematic implementation, and layout developmentPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $49.00
