The Training and Curriculum Development Specialist willdemonstrate the ability to design new curriculum, as well as update andstrengthen current curriculum in a platform suitable for in-person and/orremote learning.  The Training andCurriculum Development Specialist will work with training and educationalproviders to build and implement curriculum to meet credentialingrequirements.  The Training andCurriculum Development Specialist will also need to demonstrate the ability tosupport people and/or persons with learning disabilities.

Salary: $40 – $50 Per Hour 

Full Time, Monday – Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Works with the members of the curriculum development team toensure progress on a “Core Competencies” training courses Develops easy to understand outreach documents such asFAQ’s, flyers, and technical guides Facilitates large group meetings in person or online as wellas participates in assigned meetings  Participates in initiatives to support the department’s andoffice’s goals and objectives  Provides excellent customer service through oral and writtencommunication Knowledge of applicable Medicaid policies and regulation, aswell as understands both state and federal regulations  Knowledge of programs that train workers to support thosewith long term services and supports needs Knowledge of adult learning techniques, backward design andperson-centered thinking and planning Demonstrates a high level of critical thinking andwillingness to work in a team Works cooperatively with varies levels of stakeholders Adheres to facility and Amergis policies

Minimum Requirements: 

Associates Degree is required  A minimum of 6 years’ experience in education orprofessional experience in social services programs related to development anddelivery, or social services policy, fiscal, budget, and administration workpreferred Knowledge of programs that train workers to support thosewith long term services and supports needs Experience with PowerPoint or equivalent, Adobe Captivate,Articulate 360 for presentations Experience with data recording using Microsoft Word or otherelectronic forums Preferred experience in training, supporting, and developingadult learners with disabilities, and/or age related needs Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice  Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency programwhen applicable TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable  Current health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)  Must meet all federal, state and local requirements  Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site  Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements   Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required   Computer proficiency required  Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: Competitive pay & weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs  *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.  About Amergis Amergis, formerly known as Maxim Healthcare Staffing, has served our clients and communities by connecting people to the work that matters since 1988.
