I. Job Summary
This position is directly responsible for meeting recycling goals outlined in assigned municipal contracts or as assigned by the manager. The Representative will have a thorough understanding of WM service offerings and be able to utilize WM relationships and resources to achieve municipality recycling and sustainability goals.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Preferred Duties and Responsibilities
Attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills. Contacts potential and existing customers to encourage participation in WM programs and services. Team-oriented and willing to work collaboratively with internal and external resources to bring compelling and effective collateral and programs to customers. Cultivates and improves community partnerships by attending and participating in or facilitating public events, meetings, and other programs on behalf of company. Helps to review online service information (websites and internal customer service information) to ensure accuracy of information. As the local recycling expert responds to routine and unusual customer recycling questions. Ability to work weekends and evening event. Other duties as assigned, including contract manager support. Experience interacting with media is a plus. WM media training will be provided. Proficiency in Adobe pro or similar design software is a plus.III. Supervisory Responsibilities

Two years of experience working with outreach, education, resource conservation, program administration or project management. Knowledge of solid waste, recycling, and composting industry. Ability to develop and lead recycling facility and landfill group walking tours required.B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

Demonstrated expertise and skills in environmental, sustainability and/or education fields. Adept at understanding meaning of contract language. Strong knowledge of WM products and operations. Aware and adaptable in communication styles. Able to use influencing skills with community stakeholders, customers and internally within WM.V. The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S is $57,400 - $71,800. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay.
