SALARY RANGE $34,320.00 - $46,320.00 Annually $1,320.00 - $1,781.53 Bi-weekly Position Summary This is a position established as an Education and Training Specilaist, under the Training Specalist II-SES in Staff Development at Sunland. This positon requires highly responsible, professional work in developing, coordinating, conducting, evaluating and monitoring job and position-specific staff training activities which includes classroom and practice instruction. Prepares and conducts a wide range of developmental services training activities for management, professional and non-professional Sunland and community Developmental Services staff. The Work You Will Do Instructs employees in required subjects contributing to a well trained, competent work force. Includes serving as third shift liason with Staff Development and adjusting schedule to ensure staff on third shift receive all required training and updates. Conducts refresher testing/training in assigned units/departments on a monthly basis to ensure staff are current with requirements. Coordinates scheduling for designated training with assigned units/departments ensuring effective communication to ensure staff are current with requirements. Ensures curriculum in assigned lead classes is up-to-date and is linked to Agency's and Sunland's mission, vision, values and covers current Agency and Sunland policies and procedures. Maintains certifications in CPR and other required subject areas, increases expertise with additional certifications to meet the changing needs of employees. Perform other related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications + Must be able to lift 40lbs independently. + Must be able to transfer from kneeling to standing position repeatedly. + Must be able to present training both verbally and written. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities + Skills in effective classroom teaching/presentations. + Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. + Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments for self. + Ability to prepare reports utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word. + Ability to present presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
