TeachingLearning SolutionsData SystemsIT SolutionsFinancial SolutionsEquity in EducationEquitable EducationRecovery ServicesOverall Responsibilities:The Education Data Analyst works as part of a deadline-oriented, fast-paced team consisting of consulting and operations staff that works together to provide superior service to state education agencies and large school districts in the areas of special education management systems, data warehousing, federal claiming, and other programs. The Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, formatting, importing/exporting, transforming, validating, or modeling data with the purpose of understanding or drawing conclusions to drive strategic and operational decision-making.
Position Requirements:
Project Management. For smaller projects, the Analyst will manage directly, setting scope, managing schedule, issues, risks, and collaborating with internal and client stakeholders. For larger, more complex projects, the Analyst may work with a dedicated project manager.Documentation. The Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that all data projects have clearly documented scope and elaborated requirements to manage and validate data engineering.Data Analysis. The Analyst will be expected to profile data sets, recognize the existence or absence of patterns in the data, map to and extend PCG’s Data Schemas, document validation and transformation rules, design and execute import, transformation, and export processes, and explore analytics and visualizations.Data Engineering: This role requires an understanding of programming logic, although no experience with a specific programming language is required. The Analyst will be expected to write scripts, queries, formulas, and procedures to automate data ETL processes.Communication Skills: The Analyst must communicate well with clients, team members, and ancillary resources. This includes both presenting ideas or findings, as well as drawing out client or team member key concerns or other relevant information.Specific Responsibilities
Maintains data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, etc. for EDPlan processes and related functionsEnsures client success by working with clients to resolve issues, provide user support, and, in certain cases, develop relationshipsPrepares data analysis and agendas for client meetingsTravels to and presents at status update meetings to clients, as neededDocuments client discussions, gathers requirements, and engages technical team as it relates to emerging data structure and reporting needs, in close partnership with the project leadsSoftware implementation activities including data migration, data integration, site preparation, and project managementOversees and performs data QA, testing, and validationAssists school districts in uploading the data into our systemRequired Skills:
Strong analytical skills and careful attention to detail, including the ability to analyze and organize dataProficiency in MS Office products: Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and WordExpertise in creating/using scripts, macros, formulas, and other similar data wrangling skills and techniquesExcellent organizational, oral presentation, and written communication skillsPreferred Skills:
Previous experience utilizing Visio, MS Project, Zendesk, and JIRAResearch and project management capabilitiesPrevious experience utilizing Python, SQL, or other data platformsRequired Experience:

As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $67,000-$73,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
