Responsibilities

The Education Regulatory Specialist (ERS) collaborates with program manager(s), operations manager and administrator along with dean(s), course directors, faculty, and allied health staff to ensure that continuing medical education activities planned and/or accredited by MCSCPD meet accreditation requirements and compliance with Mayo Clinic policies and procedures.
The ERS acts as an educational consultant to those who are planning activities, ensures compliance with MCSCPD accreditation(s), and supports applications for new and reaccreditation with MCSCPD. 
Support activities (i.e. courses) in adult learning and inter-professional education. Acts as a resource to building better education for the future while meeting compliance requirements.

This position is a combination of remote and onsite support work. Individual must live within driving distance to any of the Mayo Clinic campuses. 

This position will support the academic/accreditation team within the Mayo Clinic School of Continuous Professional Development.

**Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.



Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education or a healthcare field with a minimum of 3 years experience in accreditation and compliance in continuous professional development education. Experience or knowledge of Continuing Medical Education and auditing procedures. Must be able to travel, demonstrate project management skills, success in managing individuals, small work groups, and teams.
Proficiency in word processing, database, and meeting management computer software required. Ability to organize information from a variety of sources and communicate it in a meaningful way. Can read and interpret accreditation and regulatory requirements with an ability to translate those to others to ensure compliance.
Strongly preferred: 
Understanding of data management and statistics, quality improvement methodology, and facilitation skills. Experience with accrediting bodies such as Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), or similar.
