SPED TEACHER POSITION IS ON SITE IN FRESNO,CA – Position does require you to be on site 5 days a week. Hybrid ScheduleMaybe RESPONSIBILITIES The following is a list of duties that arerepresentative of the position and include but are not limited to: • Modela personal code of ethics aligned with Mission and Vision. • Ensurecore values are lived through the charter school’s culture. • Committo working with educationally under served students. • Attendand participate in staff meetings and professional development. • Collaboratewith teachers and other staff members to plan and implement instructionalstrategies that meet the needs of an individual with exceptional needs. • Workwith faculty and administrators to identify highest needs students and createadditional supports and strategies for those students, includingdeveloping lesson plans, providing targeted instruction, and reworkingcurriculum. • IEP/504Case Management with goal tracking, marking, and support; school IEP form andmeeting requirements; managing LRE specifications, etc. • Scheduleand facilitate all IEP and 504 meetings as Case Manager, including schedulingall IEP/Tri meetings and observations with districts. • Coordinateand communicate with teachers regarding all specific IEP - related issues forstudents on their caseloads. Monitor and regulate IEP timelines; edit and approveall IEPs and 504s; update IEP goal marking spreadsheet with new goal info andcommunicate to staff. • Performeducational assessments in accordance with California State Standards, SELPAguidelines, policy, school programs, andIEP goals. • Maintainrecords and accurate reporting to ensure compliance with IDEA and ADA • Managetime before, during, and after school flexibly to allow for instructionalplanning and case management. • Buildtrusting and respectful relationships with teachers and students. • Developfamily education programs and individual or group advising to assist familiesin the understanding and remediation of exceptional needs when appropriate. • Consultwith parents and/or guardians and members of related disciplines, includingoutside agencies, regarding the needs of an individual with exceptional needs. • Provideconsultative and resource services for special projects involving students withexceptional needs at individual school sites and at the organization level. • Implementvarious instructional strategies and curricula in the following environments:core classes, field experiences, intervention classes, small group andone-on-one student pull out. • Actas day-to-day and long-term substitute when site-level teaching faculty areabsent or on leave, providing continuity of educational experience for studentswith exceptionalities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’sdegree, including all courses to meet credential requirements. • MultipleSubjects Credential (Clear strongly preferred). • CAEducation Specialist Credential with an authorization in Mild to Moderateand/or Moderate to Severe and English Language Learner authorization.(Authorization in both Moderate to Severe and Mild to Moderate or desire to addadditional authorization is strongly preferred). • Minimumof 3 years successful classroom teaching experience and case managementpreferred. • BCLADor CLAD certification (highly desirable). • Full-timeteaching experience in Special Education is strongly preferred. • Outstandingwritten, speaking, and organizational skills with experience interacting with abroad range of stakeholders. • Experiencewith field-based and/or place-based education is strongly preferred. • Experiencewith IEP software is strongly preferred. • Commitmentto the success of all students and the GCA mission, vision, and values. • Proficiencyin the native language(s) of the local community strongly preferred. • Familiaritywith Universal Design for Learning (UDL). • Demonstratedsuccess teaching students from under served areas.
