The Education Specialist - Temp (ES-T) contributes to LCG's education quality and value promise. This role is responsible for developing, writing and providing curriculum and staff resources utilizing research-based best practices. The ES-T may also fulfill other education-related duties as outlined by the Education Manager or Department Director.
This will be a 12-week assignment.
Essential Functions:
Actively participate in the planning and development of curriculum tools and resources for ages 2 – 12-years-old. Research current educational practices and strategies related to child development and behavior, learning environments, teaching practices, classroom management, and family engagement. Create, review and revise curriculum and instructional materials for school staff. Execute tasks associated with projects as directed by Education Manager or Department Director to deliver results as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or related field required, Master’s degree in early childhood preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Early Childhood Development and/or Education Sector. Minimum 3 years developing curriculum or program content and/or professional development content in the early childhood arena.
Other Skills and Abilities Qualifications:
Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Effective communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal. Proficient time management, organizational skills, and ability to meet established deadlines. Skilled researcher and writer. Proficient computer skills with strong understanding of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, and Outlook.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation based on position, education and experience. Bi-weekly paid. $26-30 hourly rate. This position is also eligible for our Support Central bonus program which is based on annual achievement of company performance.
