Summary You will serve as a EDUCATION TECHNICIAN in the DEAN, ACADEMIC AFFAIRS STRATEGY AND POLICY DEPARTMENT of NAVAL WAR COLLEGE. Responsibilities You will establish internal controls to execute resources in support of an academic program. You will answer questions specific to training, property inventory, timekeeping, administrative, and clerical practices for an organization. You will document and maintain schedules for all resident, mobile, and video tele-training courses. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications FOR GS-09: Resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing assistance to faculty with curriculum and course content development; 2) Performing administrative support functions associated with the planning, organizing, and management of an academic program; 3) Assisting with development and execution of course surveys; 4) Using a web-based environment for instructional design and execution of courses; and 5) Managing department budget and purchasing in accordance with established guidance. NOTE: All experience must be fully demonstrated in your resume to be considered for the position. FOR GS-07: Resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing administrative support for an academic program; 2) Coordinating curriculum development to ensure the procurement of material/books to fulfill course requirements; 3) Assigning classrooms and ordering audio/visual equipment to support scheduled courses; 4) Advising on the status of the budget and providing recommendations to management concerning need for increase/decreases in funding.
