Moderate/Severe Classroom
Location: Near Baldwin Park, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $43-47/hr DOE
Amergis is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Educational Specialist to join our team and make a positive impact in a moderate/severe classroom setting.
Job Description: As an Educational Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with moderate to severe disabilities. You will work closely with students, parents, and other educators to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs. Provide direct instruction and support to students in a moderate/severe classroom. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP goals. Participate in IEP meetings and other relevant school activities. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Educational Specialist Instructional Credential. Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities is preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic classroom environment. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
