Overview As the Energy Efficiency Vendor Project Manager with Rhode Island Energy, you will manage the delivery of energy efficiency Initiatives for Commercial & Industrial customers with a focus on customer and internal needs, including business support, coordination of services, program offerings and the tracking of energy savings, budget spending, participation, and key performance indicators. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer satisfaction, productivity, and process efficiency through the use of best practices and market-driven strategies. Responsible for managing the overall performance of vendors who deliver the Initiatives in achieving the committed program energy savings targets within the program budgets. #RIE #INDRIE Responsibilities Vendor Services Coordination – Act as primary point-of-contact and work with all parties currently delivering Commercial & Industrial EE Program Initiatives. Act as primary point of contact for procurement of services, development and management of Statement of Work, contract development, goal setting and tracking key deliverables. Business Support – Provide support for Commercial Sales teams. Business support includes but is not limited to: providing information on energy efficiency offerings and eligibility, helping customers understand required procedures and participation forms, working with Implementation Vendors and proactively following-up to confirm their understanding of services available. Typical activities include leading and attending meetings with Lead Vendors, Commercial Sales team, and other stakeholders; presenting at various internal and external meetings on the performance of Commercial and Industrial Initiatives. Goal Tracking & Development – Monitor progress toward contracted vendor goals and sales goals for energy savings, budget spending, and participation, as well as internal goals (key performance indicators) of Initiatives’ energy efficiency implementation and productivity. If/when necessary, develop and execute gap closer tactics to boost vendor performance to goals. Lead efforts to develop budgets and set targets for the programs. Program Improvement and Development – Proactively seek ways to improve energy efficiency services for customers by soliciting customer and stakeholder feedback, implementing best practices and exploring ways to streamline processes, and developing communication materials. Collaborate with internal & external partners to develop robust strategies that offer best-in-class approaches to energy efficiency for the participating market. Proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Deliver high quality work with adherence to internal and external deadlines. Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the business by staying abreast of business trends and learning and sharing best practices. Develop and maintain a technical understanding of energy efficiency services and measures that apply to programs, technologies and properties. Research primary data sources and analyze trends to support defining the approach and performance targets for the market. Manage the day-to-day relationship with Commercial Sales, Sales Processing and Technical Service Representatives, vendors and other external service providers, including effective negotiation, interpretation, and application of established contractual agreements and/or service level agreements. Working collaboratively with business units, such as Sales, Program Management, Marketing, and Procurement to help achieve goals. Administering and managing program budget and savings goals. Managing and motivating vendor and contractor relationships through peak performance through innovative and stretching metrics. Ensuring that program contract key performance indicators are met. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 5 years’ experience Energy Efficiency management preferred An understanding of commercial building structures including the systems within. Proficiency in relevant software e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of relevant industry practices, trends, and legislation.
