EEG Technician

In this position, you'll handle all technical studies, assist medical staff, and provide essential clerical and filing support in line with departmental and LCMC Health policies. Your duties will include assisting with patient transport, maintaining the appearance of exam rooms, and managing workflow by scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and guiding them through the exam process. With your dedication to patient comfort and attention to detail, you'll help create a supportive environment for patients and staff alike. Your Everyday 

Obtain detailed neuro-medical and family history for accurate diagnostic treatment. 

Prepare patients for EEG procedures within specified timeframes, including electrode placement. 

Record EEG data accurately, identifying artifacts and abnormalities. 

Review records and promptly notify lead EEG technician of urgent findings. 

Perform all phases of Evoke Potentials testing with precision and attention to detail. 

Transport equipment for bedside testing and report any equipment issues. 

Maintain department equipment, ensuring functionality and cleanliness. 

Assist with clerical duties including scheduling, phone calls, and record management. 

Manage supplies and assist in ordering to ensure efficient departmental operations. 

The Must-Haves 
 
Minimum: 

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent 

American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (BLS)     

Preferred: 

6 months of experience and formal training in EEG 

Credential in EEG technology
