Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a EEG Technician / EEG Department.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for routine EEG simple studies and the associated administrative paperwork Under close supervision of a physician or a more senior technologist may perform critical or complex studies for immediate diagnosis as needed

Job Responsibilities:

Performs routine EEG studies Adheres to laboratory guidelines for impedance testing and montage selectionPerforms other duties as assignedCleans electrodes and maintains equipmentParticipates in conferences related to EEG in the departmentReviews studies performed with supervising physician on a regular basisCompletes appropriate paperwork for each patient including those required for department statistical and billing purposes Ensure reports are accurate and prepared timely for the physician to reviewCollects information on the patient s history current medications and a description of current seizures for the technical report

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a High School diploma, required Current and valid BLS or CPR Certification is required. ABRET American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists EEG certification within 5 years of hire for all hires on or after 1/1/16 1 year performing EEG studies OR completion of an accredited or formalized program OR a bachelors degree in a related field Strong communication skills are required. 

Preferred Qualifications:
Associate s Degree Preferred Completion of an accredited program as defined by ASET The Neurodiagnostic Society, preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72,990.30 - $84,304.09 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
