Position Summary

Operates specialized equipment which measures and records electrical activity of the brain, peripheral nervous system, and spinal cord.

 

Responsibilities

Assists in the analysis and diagnosis of disorders in the brain and nervous system such as brain tumors, sleep disorders, strokes and epilepsy Performs a variety of tasks Typically reports to supervisor or manager Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned  

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications

Graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation OR equivalent formal training Registry in EEG by ABRET required Registry eligible in evoked potential studies and/or 3 to 5 years’ experience in EEG and evoked potentials preferred Demonstrates proficiency in computer applications related to position duties with a variety of software BLS required

Working Conditions

Must be able to lift and move up to 35 lbs Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position  Typical equipment used in an office job Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend Must be able to assist in patient transfer
