Responsibilities We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Intern. This internship will provide valuable exposure to various aspects of EH&S practices within our organization and is designed for students or recent graduates who are interested in gaining practical experience in the field. As an EH&S Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the EH&S team in implementing and maintaining safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety across the organization. Internship Details: The program will be a fulltime paid summer internship working for Panasonic at the Gigafactory The program will be 12 weeks in length, and is planned to occur between Monday, May 19th and Friday, August 8th. This date range is subject to change Must be able to attend the entirety of the internship Housing allowance provided Program Requirements: The program will be a fulltime paid summer internship working for Panasonic Energy of North America onsite at the Gigafactory Must attend entirety of internship from the indicated start and end date noted above Minimum 3.2 GPA Must have completed a minimum of 2 years at an accredited university Essential Duties: Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of EH&S policies and procedures Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with EH&S regulations Participate in the identification and evaluation of workplace hazards and recommend appropriate control measures Support incident investigations, including collecting and analyzing data, and identifying root causes to prevent future occurrences Assist in development and delivery of EH&S training programs for employees Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote safety initiatives and ensure EH&S requirements are integrated into daily operations Assist in the compilation and analysis of EH&S data, preparing reports, and presenting findings to management Stay up to date with current EH&S regulations, permits, and records in accordance with regulatory standards Contribute to the development and promotion of a strong safety culture by organizing safety campaigns, events, and awareness programs Other duties as assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements: To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and respirator.
