EH&S Manager

Millennium Health LLC is an accredited specialty laboratory with more than a decade of experience in medication monitoring and drug testing services, helping clinicians monitor the use and misuse of prescription medications and illicit drugs. The testing is used by healthcare professionals to obtain objective information about patients’ recent use of prescription medications and/or illicit drugs and helps monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans.

The EH&S Manager develops, implements, and monitors company environmental health and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Maintains safety equipment inventory, performs periodic safety inspections, monitors hazardous waste removal vendors, and assists in consolidating hazardous waste. Interacts with a variety of departments, conducts training in emergency response and hazardous material handling and maintains liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies. Alerts leadership team with corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist.

Activities including planning, implementing, and managing technical performance to ensure safety, quality and financial objectives are attained. Manage all safety programs, training and documentation, including but not limited to: Lockout/Tagout, Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP), Evacuation Procedures, PPE, Pedestrian Safety, Ergonomics, Heat Stress, Bloodborne Pathogens, respiratory protection, contractor safety, and hazardous chemical management. Compile, analyze, interpret and maintain statistical safety data related to hazardous exposure, occupational illnesses, accidents, first aid incidents, near miss records and conduct associated root cause analysis. Implement EH&S corrective and preventative measures assuring a safe work environment. Maintain and support activities such as regulatory reporting (Fire, OHSA, EPA, etc.), audits, permit registrations, licenses and fee payments and ensure company compliance with all applicable regulatory, environmental and safety requirements. Maintain appropriate electronic and hard copy reports and records. Create and/or maintain all related standard operating procedures. May represent the organization as a primary spokesperson with line management, project managers, technical staff, and outside representatives. Manage Safety Committee activities, agenda preparation, reports, follow-ups, incentive programs. Prepare and conduct safety training sessions for employees at all levels. Manage and perform periodic safety walks with department managers, safety committee, insurance carriers, or consultants. Work in partnership with the Human Resources team to support Onboarding and Orientation safety training. Support the submission of workers’ compensation claims. Support communications with clinics regarding injuries and status. Manage completion of monthly injury reports. Ability to maintain confidentiality on all issues related to the position. Adaptability to perform under stress when confronted with emergent, critical, unusual, or dangerous situations, or situations in which working speed and sustained attention are make-or-break aspects of the job. Prepare internal and external presentations. Support yearly budget review and development. Perform and/or oversee all the responsibilities of EH&S Specialists or other staff. Ensures technical excellence is maintained by participating in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of staff. Seldom travel may be required (up to 5-10% of the time). Ability to ensure HIPAA, Confidentiality and Compliance policy, procedures, and standards are always adhered to. Ability to ensure administrative, physical and technical cyber security controls are always adhered to. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
