Salt Lake City, UtahCorp Safety Director: This position is responsible for supporting the company in the management, collaboration, and execution of program around driver, distribution and manufacturing safety, occupational health, and environmental at the corporate level as well as being a strategic business partner directly responsible for protecting the assets and reputation of the Company by ensuring successful operation, coordination, communication and accountable for developing and executing field training programs that meet federal, state, and local laws and safety regulations, comply with Company policies and programs, and support business strategies critical to Admiral Beverage Corporation, as well as providing oversight of liability assessments, verifying proper process flow and documentation. Maintains close relationships with insurance carriers, broker, and claims Third Party Administrator (TPA) to identify long and short-term challenges and opportunities that may arise. This position will also act as the workers compensation claim contact. This position will report directly to the HR Vice President.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates and executes overall EHS and Fleet Safety training programs within all manufacturing and distribution centers.Directly supervises EHS resources.Oversees coordination of open claims and location relationship of TPA and service providers.Works with regional team through meetings, periodic phone calls, postings, and other communications to deploy programs that help target high risk situations.Plans, directs and monitors proactive safety strategies, processes and programs for all covered facilities.Provides timely and accurate safety information and guidance to covered locations.Assists in the development of standard operating procedures for safety and compliance using known industry and company best practices.Assists in the design and development of safety and operational training programs for our drivers, warehouse and fleet shop employees.Develop a network of safety “points of contract” at each facility.Coordinate and conduct timely incident investigations into serious vehicle crashes and workplace injuries in order to mitigate hazardous operation conditions.Oversee annual insurance renewals for all lines of coverage, including property, casualty, and employment practices ensuring accurate and timely completion of updated exposure values and insurance renewal application information in order to ensure timely renewals.Organize work-flow to achieve efficient coordination, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of assigned claims.Ensure, communicate and coordinate among the various stakeholders involved in the claim processes including, but not limited to the injured parties, managers, supervisors, third party adjusters, managed care providers, physicians, attorneys and others.Review insurance policies and endorsements to ensure adequacy of policy documents and coverages; identify coverage gaps and exclusions; analyze appropriate coverage limits and deductibles; and oversee maintenance of all insurance policies, binders, endorsements in hard copy and/or electronic form.Manager broker and underwriter communication, services and resources to ensure effective flow of information and most effective use of broker and carrier resources.Manage the workers compensation process by designing and implementing specific strategies to objectively reduce the cost and duration of employee injuries by working closely with third party workers compensation adjusters, insurance carrier(s), broker(s), managed care providers, medical providers, defense attorneys, and the state regulatory agencies.Utilizing DMOS and CI tools to lead teams and other activities around targeted safety improvements.Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supervises safety and security generalists and related support positions as well as leadership responsibilities for safety coordinators at each location.
Demonstrated knowledge of the following:
5+ years of experience managing EHS, DOT and Safety. Experience with OSHA, DOT, andEPA regulatory requirements.5-7 years related professional experience in risk and managing claims for multi-lines.Experience managing and leading in a matrix reporting environment desired.A history of successful implementation of behavioral and proactive safety programs and processes.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (verbal and written).Strong analytical and presentation skills required.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Preferred candidate will possess any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and have a minimum of 5 years professional safety, distribution, or fleet experience or related professional experience in managing claims for multi-lines and risk management with a proven track record of achieving measurable results. Professional certification in fleet safety or general safety desired.

Certified Safety Professional Designation and Driver’s License.

Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Be able to travel frequently to all company business locations and other job-related destinations by plane, train and automobile.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
