Position Title: Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

Location: Assembly Drive in Rockford, IL

Department: EHS

Shift: 1st

This position will assist the Rockford EHS Director, Occupational Health Nurse, and Industrial Hygiene department in ensuring compliance with governmental regulations and PCI EHS programs, policies and procedures. The position will also be an integral part in EHS continuous improvement efforts including, but not limited to: employee engagement initiatives, data analytics, and the establishment and sustainability of best practices in EHS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete regular inspections and audits of Rockford facilities to ensure compliance with PCI EHS programs and governmental regulationsAssist in facilitating EHS committee meetings and ensure meetings are appropriately documentedCollect and track EHS data to identify trends, ensure actions are being adequately completed, and information is being shared with EHS committees and Management to develop corrective action plans.Collect and enter data into PCI's tracking software and databasesAssist the Occupational Health Nurse in the timely entry, tracking and management of workers compensation claims.Assist in the completion and/or review of incident investigations to help coach and provide guidance to Supervisors in completion of effective incident investigations, establishment of corrective actions, and communication of the results of the investigation.Ensure EHS information is adequately shared with employees and kept up to date.Assist in the review, updating, and development of EHS related programs, training, policies and procedures.Establish and maintain a filing system for EHS and claims information that will allow quick and easy access to materials when needed.Oversight and management of Safety Data Sheet management system for Rockford facilities.Complete routine ergonomic assessments as part of the Ergonomic assessment team following PCI's Ergonomics program.Participate in and assist the Occupational Health Nurse in facilitating the Medical Emergency Response Team meetings and activities.Assist the Occupational Health Nurse in the establishment of and management of employee wellness programs.Assist in collection of air and noise samples under direction of the Corporate Industrial Hygiene Manager.Assist in maintaining and tracking of data needed for the OSHA logs.Maintain confidentiality of all health related issues of our employees and families as stated in HIPPA and other confidentiality regulations.This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.Attendance to work is an essential function of this positionPerforms other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Required:

Associates degree or enrolled in an associates or higher programBasic Mathematical SkillsIntermediate Computer Skills: Ability to perform more complex computer tasks and has knowledge of various computer programs.Minimum Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak in a way that allows one to participate effectively in various conversations. Ability to read various types of standard items addressed to general readers.High Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is only limited standardization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions that may be provided in various forms.High Standard of Report WritingProficiency with Microsoft Applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams

Preferred:

Ability to effectively present information to various people as the job requires.Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.Ability to display original thinking and creativity.Experience in EHS and claims management a plusDegree in or working towards a degree in EHS a plusCourse work or certifications in EHS a plusExperience in manufacturing a plus
