EHS Coordinator
Position SummaryThe EHS Coordinator will be focused on working with our warehouse team to manage programs and support a proactive safety culture. The best EHS candidate is able to work side-by-side with team members from our Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations team members. They possess a good balance of hands-on technical competency coupled with the ability to apply technical knowledge in a fast-paced environment.Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited toEnsure our people, processes, and equipment are adhering to all company EHS/DOT/EPA policiesDeliver our EHS training plan to increase learner retention and improve on-the-job skills for a diverse labor teamGuide our diverse labor team, in terms of compliance, by building relationships and coaching on non-compliance behaviors, situations, or equipmentMonitor standard compliance for Powered Industrial Trucks, Lockout/Tagout, Walking and Working Surfaces, and Hazard CommunicationsMaintain an evolving compliance action item list including but not limited to Ergonomics, Powered Industrial Trucks, Hazardous Energy, Hazard Communications, and Walking and Working SurfacesParticipate in the incident root cause analysis and development corrective actions along with a cross-functional teamCreate and distribute various EHS communications at various levels of the facility (ex. Safety Tips and EHS Incident Summaries) Required Skills and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in warehouse or food manufacturingKnowledge of State and Federal OSHA, and EPA rules and regulations Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment Team player with the ability to create strong working relationships Strong computer skills and proficient in MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, etc.) Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence positive outcomes Collaboration with stakeholders in decision-making Demonstrated initiative, good problem-solving skills, and analytical skillsAbility to work 40+ hours/week including off-shifts on occasion5% travelPreferred Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering or another related field2+ years of Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and/or Safety experience in a manufacturing environment Physical RequirementsRegularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and armsFrequently required to stand, communicate, and listenOccasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouchOccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusAble to perform repetitive movementsAble to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)Company Overview
