EHS & Facilities Coordinator

We are currently seeking an EHS & Facilities Coordinator who will be responsible for our BECLS San Jose, CA facility management, and support site EHS policies and procedures designed to ensure compliance related to quality, EHS, and security. As an EHS & Facilities Coordinator, you’ll support site policies and procedures to ensure compliance, safety, and operational efficiency at our San Jose facility. Key Responsibilities: + Manage/Perform routine tasks: light facility repairs, Hazardous and non-hazardous waste pickup and management, recycling (Cardboard, E-Waste, Pallets, ect.), Breakroom management, Supply Management and ordering (including janitorial, breakroom, and office stationery inventory). Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks, conduct safety checks, follow-up on Concern Reporting, and report hazards. Maintain records, vendor agreements, and process Work Orders as needed. + Oversee some vendor relationships and coordination, including, but not limited to janitorial, landscaping, Facility (including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing), and other service providers. + Collaborate with EHS Manager on emergency preparedness and coordinate fire drills, maintain emergency response plans and records, and evaluate safety protocols and manage visitor and customer demo event logistics including conference room set-up, scheduling, reservations, communication, and food arrangements. The required qualifications for the job include: + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Basic troubleshooting of facilities equipment and use of hand tools. + Previous facilities and maintenance experience and experience in emergency preparedness and response and the ability to review blueprints and schematics. + The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, the employee must frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, public or business administration, engineering, or a related field. The hourly range for this role is between $28 and $35. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
