Salary:
$115,000 - $135,000 + 10% Bonus Target
Summary
The EHS/Facility Manager will oversee all Environmental, Health, and Safety activities, driving proactive programs to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for multiple locations. This role also involves maintaining the quality of the building in collaboration with Signode’s landlord and working closely with the Corporate EHS department. As the Safety Champion for multiple locations, the EHS/Facility Manager plays a key role in fostering a strong safety culture across the organization. This highly visible position requires daily interaction with employees and a strong presence on the manufacturing floor to promote safety and compliance.
Essential Functions
Ensure facility conformance with all applicable federal, state, local and corporate environmental, health and safety laws, regulations, policies, guidelines, and maintenance of appropriate documentation for APT US and other Regional Signode sites.Ensure that all employee training is completed, documented, and maintained regarding regulatory requirements for APT US and other Regional Signode sites.Monitor follow-ups and corrective action resulting from all corporate and plant environmental, health and safety audits for APT US and other Regional Signode sites.Develop and deliver safety training programs for the multiple sites.Provide safety training to all new employees as part of our onboarding program for APT US.Act as a liaison between management and external safety agencies, such as fire and insurance personnel.Coordinate all activities associated with the environmental, health and safety requirements including ergonomics with site leaders for APT US and other Regional Signode sites.Investigate accidents that occur, including detailed injury root cause analysis and incident reporting.Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents, and related events.Perform site audits and lead efforts with management teams to implement corrective actions.Responsible for contingency and emergency preparedness planning, evacuation and emergency drills, hazard communication, noise exposure and audiometric management, air emission reporting, chemical exposure, control of hazardous energy and pollution prevention and waste minimization.Maintain hazardous waste, air programs, water programs and community Right to Know.Supervise facilities staff and external contractors for Roselle.Maintain contracts for outside services and work closely with the landlord to keep the Roselle facility pristine.Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security, etc.Other roles/duties may be assigned as necessary to assist Signode in attaining its goals and objectives.Position Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related discipline.
Experience:
5-7 years in an environmental, health and safety role.Experience in a manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.Ability to work any shift and extended hours to support employees on all shifts.Ability to travel.Certifications highly preferred.Functional Success Drivers: These competencies are what we require for an individual to be successful in this role.
