Job Description
The Program
Mallinckrodt is offering an internship program, which provides an immersive experience in the world of pharmaceuticals. As an MNK Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and impactful work that compliments the degree you are pursuing. Here, you will be able to apply what you have learned in the classroom to a corporate environment. In addition, our internship program is designed to include networking opportunities across the company, professional development workshops, and community service.

Summary of Position
The EHS Intern with work directly with the EHS specialist in partnership with the EHS Business Partner Manager and would be assisting the EHS Specialist in day-to-day operations of the health, safety and welfare of all employees, visitors and contractors at the College Part site ensuring best practice and compliance is maintained. The EHS Intern will assist with EHS administration, take part in safety audits and risk assessments. As an EPA licensed site the EHS intern will also assist with compliance and maintenance of the site’s IE license management.
Responsibilities
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Liaise with EHS Specialist in relation to execution of the sites EHS Management systemAssist EHS specialist in the maintenance of the site environmental license.Support site EHS Communication programsAssist with Managing site waste management compliance requirementsAssist with EHS training programHelp ensure all notice Boards up to date with key emergency personnelAssist with risk assessment management program, reviews and updates required and project to transition site risk assessments to online Policy ManagerTake part in Safety Gemba’sTrack, Trend and Assist with the EHS Observation ProgramSupport the EHS team for updates of EHS Documentation as requiredProactively champion the environmental, health and safety function, and safe working practices across the company’s activities and operations.Attend and support the sites EHS committee and act as EHS administratorAssist with emergency site managementMinimum Requirements
Education: A Student in a third level degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline
Experience: Not Required
Skills/Competencies: Effective verbal and written communication skills
Basic Computer Competency
Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work method
