Applied Materials’ Environmental Health and Safety Team is searching for an intern to join our team! We are seeking a EHS Intern to join us for a 12-week duration and gain exposure to a variety of processes behind workplace safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compile known sources of injury/incident/inspection data to ensure data is being entered and closed consistentlyIntern will facilitate communications between multiple parties both internal and external as needed to ensure injuries, near misses, and incidents are logged appropriatelyDevelop metrics and report-outs through existing tracking tools to communicate trends on incidents/injuries, track closure, and metric cycle time.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Student must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree program in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field and returning to their studies upon completion of internship.Student must be available to start May/June and end their 12 weeks ~Aug/SeptDemonstrated interest in Workplace Safety via courses, projects, or experienceAbility to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholdersStrong written and verbal communication + attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reportingPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION (OPTIONAL):
Program Management academics/experience, including project tracking or visualization toolsExperience with databases or spreadsheets (e.g Excel, Google Sheets) or other methodologies/tools which could be used for organizing and reporting on incident dataQualificationsEducation:
