EHS Manager

In this role, you have the opportunity to:

Ensure the health and safety of Mercury Systems employees, workplace and the environment

 

You are responsible for:

Build trust and confidence with the operations team and influence positive safety culture by  developing and managing the maintenance and implementation of safety programs, compliance plans, and initiatives Participate in the investigation of incidents, near misses and property damage incidents Ensure follow-up is done to minimize future exposure and proper records/documents are maintained Lead, develop, conduct or coordinate and track training to support company EHS programs Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures and practices Maintain internal and regulatory reporting including data collection and reporting including but not limited to air, storm water and surface water discharge Ensure the company meets all its legislative compliance obligations with OSHA, EPA, ADEQ, ADA, and fire codes Serve as the site contact for all regulatory agencies for inspections, permitting, reporting (air, water, waste). Support company Environmental Social Governance policy and reporting requirements Keep abreast of any safety and environmental law or regulation changes that affect the organization 

 

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

Strong safety focus Environmental hygienist and employee health and safety experience and leadership ability Strong communication, crisis management and leadership skills Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders and provide leadership on EHS situations which could have significant impact to site operations Extensive Functional/Technical Knowledge of EHS rules and issues related to office and manufacturing space Problem Solving and Decision Making Experience developing and leading an educational and training program globally

 

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Ability to take necessary steps to ensure a safe work environment for all employees Participate in manufacturing meetings and champion workplace safety and regulatory concerns and opportunities Active role model for all company environmental, health and safety standards Establish and maintain effective relationships with operations, managers, supervisors and employees Keep the site Manufacturing Operations and Human Resources up to date on matters relating to, environmental, health and safety Special projects as required

Onsite: Hudson, NH (9/80 schedule) Hybrid: This is a 100% onsite role Remote: This is a 100% onsite role

 

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years' experience in recent manufacturing environment with responsibility for Environmental, Health and Safety Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office applications Ability to be on call or work off hours as needed Demonstrated ability to develop and lead initiatives and work with senior leadership Strong analytical/ problem solving, written and verbal communications Experience working with local regulatory agencies Ability to develop and lead EHS training program BS in Occupational Health and Safety or related field (preferred) EHS Certification with expanded work experience would be considered OSHA HAZWOPER 40 Certification
